An upward path
The early years
1988
Santi Suñer and Salvador Casacuberta found Elausa and start to develop electronic circuits with the use of microprocessors, applied mainly to the control of special machines.
1990
Jaume Carné joins the company as a new partner. Elausa commits to the development of EMS products.
Elausa participates in the manufacture of components for industrial washing machines, producing the first series of printed circuits.
1992
Elausa builds its first facility devoted specifically to product development.
At the same time, Array starts operating in the plastic injection industry.
1993
Acquisition of the first wave soldering machine.
1996
Acquisition of the pick-and-place machine and first extension of the plant.
Consolidation
2002
Elausa consolidates its position as an EMS supplier in the industrial market. Major national clients choose the company to develop and produce their electronic solutions..
New extension of the plant and the R&D Department.
The second SMD line is completed.
2005
Construction of new Array plant begins in Folgueroles, 6 km from Vic.
The electronics and plastic injection businesses are restructured as separate organisations.
2008
The third SMD line is purchased.
Creation of teh Elausa Automotive Division
2013
First production series as a Tier 2 supplier for the automotive industry.
First complete product developments for the automotive industry.
2015
The Elausa plant is expanded by 2000 m2.
2019
The raw material and finished product warehouses are expanded by 2000 m2.
ELAUSA's workforce exceeds 220 employees.
2020
The assembly area for the Automotive Division is doubled with the incorporation of new automatic lines.
2021
Incorporation of new production processes integrated into production lines.
2022
ELAUSA and ZANINI have reached a Business Alliance Technology Agreement.
Elausa Electronics and Zanini Auto Group have reached an exclusive and formal business alliance technology agreement for backlit products and sensor systems for motor vehicle outdoor applications.
Elausa is an expert and full service provider offering design and production of electronic systems (Hardware and Software) for the automotive industry. Zanini is one of the world leaders in electromagnetic transparency and backlight components for the automotive industry.
The scope of this agreement is to merge our knowledge, to maximize the exposure of our premium technologies that will add value to our customers towards the expected increase in the integration of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and outdoor lighting.
